New Stansted Flight to Bergen in Norway

The colourful waterfront houses in Bergen

Widerøe now flies twice-weekly from London Stansted Airport to Bergen, gateway to the Norwegian fjords. The new service will fly on Fridays and Sundays, increasing frequency later in the year.

The former capital of Norway, Bergen is a city with a small town charm. The laid-back and attractive port town is home to the well preserved wooden wharf buildings of Bryggen, now protected as a Unesco World Heritage site and surrounded by hills and fjords. There’s a lively nightlife and each May the Festspillene i Bergen (Bergen International Festival) swells the population. Local tour operator, Up Norway is all about sustainable and off the tourist trail experiences, with trips including a five-day Spring Time in Norway break exploring Bergen from £3800pp with accommodation, car rental, daily activities and culinary experiences.
